The Savvy Entrepreneur seminar series will provide a highly interactive forum for entrepreneurs and start-up, early- and mid-stage high growth companies to interact with a panel of experts, as well as network with their peers. The series is designed to focus not only on the basic how-to’s of building a successful business, but also cover best practices in intellectual property, team building,initial sales and securing capital.
General: $25 per session or $100 for the entire series if registered in advance. $40 per session at the door.
Students: $5 per session at the door.
Pre-revenue companies: FREE (be honest)
Parking is provided onsite at the DeVos Lot. Please pick up parking permit from the parking attendant located behind the Cook – DeVos Center for Health Sciences building and accessed off of Lafayette Street.

March 30, 2011 – Getting to the First Sale
That first sale validates your business value proposition! This session will discuss how to maximize effectiveness to get to first sale, how to leverage sales to draw investors, and how to leverage the first sale to get to the secon
April 20, 2011 – Getting Creative with Funding Alternatives
Not every business is fundable through defined means such as grants, Angel or Venture Capital investment, or traditional bank loans. What creative alternatives are there for funding? How can West Michigan create more?
